The situation in Congo has significantly worsened, resulting in a pervasive sense of desensitization and hopelessness among the Congolese people, who now perceive violence and suffering as commonplace. Humanitarian crimes in the Democratic Republic of Congo does not only encompass ethnic cleansing, forced displacement, replacement of congolese people, and the smuggling of minerals into Rwanda. The Congolese population faces starvation due to restrictive systems imposed by Rwanda, forcing many into modern slavery under foreign employers, where they endure unfair or unpaid wages and abuse. These systemic challenges have left numerous congolese people without homes, employment, or healthcare, with no avenues to report crimes or seek justice. Libanda was founded to address these critical issues. The U.S.- Congo agreement provides a glimmer of hope for ending conflict and displacement. Once peace is established, our goals include building a justice system for victims, dismantling systems controlled by Rwanda and prioritizing employment or business for Congolese people. Let us unite to restore justice in Congo. Watch this short video for further insights into the ongoing conflict: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NMtgHzXZnIg&t=694s
